When a commission is right for you.

Did the painting you fell in love with already sell? If so, consider commissioning a custom piece. On the other hand, you might have found a painting you adore, but it's not the perfect size or format for your space.

I enjoy collaborating with clients to explore colors, sizes, and the desired emotions for their artwork. Over time, I've had the pleasure of working with many wonderful clients, which has led me to develop a comprehensive guide to the commissioning process.

Your painting.

Size: Find your perfect fit by choosing from various sizes and orientations to complement your space!
Try taping craft paper to your wall or using painters tape to outline the size, visualizing how the piece will impact your space. Select your preferred orientation: landscape, square, or portrait.

Content: What do you envision? Choose a few images of my recent works that you’d like to base the piece on. You can even provide wall color, fabric or flooring samples for me to use as inspiration for the color palette.

Surface: Watercolor paper, panel or stretched canvas.

Timeline: Commissions are typically scheduled months in advance to align with my studio workflow, other projects, exhibitions, and gallery commitments. If you have a tight timeframe, let's discuss to see if I can accommodate it.

Deposit: To reserve your spot on the Commission Calendar, a non-refundable deposit of fifty percent and a signed commission contract are required. You pay half upfront and the remaining balance plus shipping upon completion. This contract safeguards your investment and ensures you receive the desired artwork.

Shipping: For artwork smaller than 36x36", I handle box construction in-studio to reduce shipping expenses. For larger pieces, I collaborate with A Plus Shipping and UPS to ensure secure packaging. Insurance is always included for added protection.

Return Policy: Please note that returns are not accepted, and the 50% deposit is nonrefundable. This policy protects both parties: it covers my labor and material costs while ensuring the piece is tailored to your preferences. Such terms are standard in the industry.
